We are a leading provider of home medical equipment and services, empowering patients to live their best lives. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful service delivery for our patients.

Job Overview:

This is a customer-facing position that requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You will be responsible for answering inbound calls, making outbound calls, and processing orders. In addition, you will work with various online systems to obtain applicable documentation and communicate with customers regarding insurance verification and authorization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact Centers: Answer all calls in a timely manner, following company procedures, document all call information, and process orders.
  • Customer Communication: Educate patients about their financial responsibility, provide updates on documentation received, and offer additional options to facilitate the referral process.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurances, and deductibles, and obtain pre-authorization if required by an insurance carrier.
  • System Navigation: Navigate through multiple online EMR systems to obtain applicable documentation, enter and review pertinent information, and communicate with Customer Service and Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • One (1) year work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management, regardless of industry.
  • Senior-level requirements: Two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience in Medicare certified environments.

Competency, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial health plan methodologies and documentation requirements preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $ $55,000 - $70,000, depending on location and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and career development opportunities.
