Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
  • Document required information and communicate pertinent information to primary physicians and direct patient care staff.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, patients, and family members to provide information necessary to provide quality care.
  • Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient preparation, and the patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination and associated procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of Ultrasound.
  • Current ARDMS or CCI certification or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of date of hire.
  • BLS certification.
  • Documented competency in echo and non-invasive vascular imaging.
Working Knowledge:
  • Ability to manipulate the ultrasound equipment to adequately perform general, vascular, and echocardiogram exams.
  • Ability to detect abnormal pathology and image the pathology.
