We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our patients.

About the Role

Under the direction of the Ultrasound Manager and/or Supervising Physician, you will serve as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and defined turn-around-times.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the care of patients by providing timely, accurate, and precise patient testing results.
  • Document required information and communicate pertinent information to primary physicians and direct patient care staff.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, patients, and family members to provide information necessary to provide quality care.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and defined turn-around-times.
  • Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infection disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient preparation, and the patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination and associated procedures.
  • Apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography procedures.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree from an approved school of Ultrasound and current ARDMS or CCI certification. One year of experience in echo and non-invasive vascular imaging is preferred.
