Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at the University of Oklahoma. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing clinically relevant information to assist physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Monitor and interpret medical diagnostic scans, applying independent judgment to acquire diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sonography techniques and technologies, maintaining a high level of expertise in diagnostic sonography.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in allied health and completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications.
  • ARDMS Registration, required.
  • Registered in vascular, required within the first 12 months of employment.
