Job Opportunity

G&L Tube is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team at the Cookeville Facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components using modern engineering tools such as CAD and CNC programming software.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve operator efficiencies and outcomes.
  • Provide technical reviews and presentations to management.
  • Lead the design assembly and testing of new manufacturing tooling.
  • Support program design reviews, drawing reviews, failure analysis, and anomaly resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or 5+ years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations and codes.
  • Proficiency in modern engineering tools such as CAD and CNC programming software.
  • Above-average knowledge of equipment maintenance standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills including MS Office, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Analytical analysis and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional skills in automation processes and new technology.
