Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the CNC team, ensuring production schedules are met and performance targets are achieved.
  • Prioritize workplace safety by enforcing the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide guidance and training to CNC machinists and lead operators, ensuring tasks are executed accurately and safely.
  • Develop and manage weekly production schedules, coordinate labor allocation, and ensure timely submission of production documentation.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
  • Evaluate employee performance and handle disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, quality, and Lean Manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role overseeing CNC operations.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and blueprint reading.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor employees.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols, with the ability to enforce a safety-first culture.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot machining and production issues.
  • Proficient in ERP systems for scheduling and production tracking, with solid reporting skills.
