We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our financial department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting employees, customers, and third-party vendors in receiving invoices, payments, and tracking receipts.

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing accounts payable, including purchase orders, item/goods receipts, invoices, and payments
  • Handling accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, collecting and recording receipts
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Coordinating period close reconciliations, accruals, and revenue cut-off journal entries
  • Tracking employee attendance and timekeeping systems
  • Filing payroll tax and quarterly tax reports
  • Administering company benefits, including health and 401(k) plans
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and laws
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is an advantage
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Service-oriented, multitasking, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
