Job Overview

Absorb the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge organization. As a Mechanical Reliability Engineer Co-Op at AbbVie, you will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to direct the strategy and execution of facility systems, predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Supporting the development, execution, and maintenance of the site, asset reliability program, and associated projects.
  • Applying predictive maintenance technologies such as Ultrasound and Vibration analysis on a variety of equipment and systems to identify potential equipment failures and recommend the appropriate corrective action.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with maintenance and inventory personnel in development of asset critical spare parts strategy and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support the site reliability program including asset criticality, maintenance strategy and critical spare parts.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering, Controls Engineering, Site Operations, and Maintenance to fulfill primary job responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field.
  • Must be enrolled in school at the time of the Co-Op.
  • Must be able to commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, MA.
