Compensation and Benefits
$49,000-$58,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience; includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; contributions to a Health Savings Account; flexible spending options; participation in the retirement plan; employer-paid life insurance; long-term disability coverage; and paid time off during school breaks, personal days, and sick leave.
A Day in the Life...
As a Literacy Educator, you will have the opportunity to cultivate a supportive learning atmosphere that promotes student growth, which will include:
• Designing and executing a curriculum that integrates the arts and technology.
• Maintaining a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and respectful of all students.
• Providing assistance in other classrooms as needed.
• Recognizing individual student needs and adapting the curriculum accordingly.
• Offering timely and constructive feedback to students.

• Collaborating with the Educational Leadership Team on matters related to student performance, behavior, attendance, and disciplinary actions in line with organizational policies.

• Working alongside peers to plan, develop, and implement effective practices tailored to the diverse needs of students.

• Staying informed about and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Accurately maintaining attendance records and incident documentation.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Previous teaching experience is advantageous.
• Ability to engage positively with diverse individuals from various social, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
• Competent in teaching the required curriculum.
• High proficiency in computer applications.
• Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively.

• A valid Minnesota Secondary Teaching License for English, or the ability to obtain one through the Minnesota Department of Education.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
