Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School English Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching English Language Arts to middle school students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and contributing to the academic success and personal development of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Instruction: Develop and implement engaging and rigorous lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
  • Classroom Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and maintain high expectations for academic achievement.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student learning and social-emotional development, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends and research.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certification/License: Valid teaching license/certification in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching middle school English Language Arts preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of English language and literature, writing, grammar, and literacy instruction, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, ability to establish rapport with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues, and commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and social justice.
