Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our diesel equipment fleet.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $66,512, based on the expected base rate of $32.05 per hour and assuming 40 hours of work per week. This role also includes opportunities for overtime compensation and a retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

This position involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while maintaining thorough documentation of repairs.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).
  • Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list, and parts accountability.
  • Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must have at least three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills, are essential. A CDL A and DOT certification are preferred.
