Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Histology Technologist to join our team. As a Histology Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing tissue samples for examination by pathologists. This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tissue samples for examination by pathologists, including embedding, cutting, and staining.
  • Perform quality control and instrument maintenance to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, pathology residents, and pathologists to ensure the quality and integrity of the service.
  • Assist in maintaining the laboratory's inventory and supplies.
  • Participate in the Laboratory Performance Improvement Program.
  • Teach and train new employees, students, and pathology residents.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience in histology or a related field.
  • Preferred: Histotechnologist certification or eligibility.
Working Conditions

This is a day shift position working between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and may be exposed to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
