Experienced Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Scion Staffing. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in conducting activities for the Estimating Department, including record keeping, document control, and other duties as required.

• Collect and track data on potential leads for projects.
• Perform intake and filing of documents such as plans and specifications from the Owner's design team to be used for estimating purposes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs of plans for use in quantifying and qualifying the project as well as procuring materials.
• Maintain and track various estimating documents and maintain logs within the file storage structure.
• Distribute estimating documents to subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Set up job site visits with owners and subcontractors.
• Assist with photo documentation and storage.
• Writing, distributing, and collecting requests for proposals from subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Routing, tracking, and resolving requests for information by and between subcontractors and the design team.
• Set and track deadlines for deliverables to and from subcontractors, design team, and the Estimating Department.
• On awarded projects, assist with the preparation of a Contract for Construction and conduct the turnover of documents pertinent to the estimate and contract to the Production Department.
• Liaise between company departments on behalf of the Estimating Department as needed & directed by the Chief Estimator.
• Perform general administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence related to project intake and distribution; reviewing and distributing project documents; assisting with coordinating and communicating as needed under the direction of the project team; coordinating space and plan managing, printing, and organization; maintaining project-specific paper and electronic files; scheduling project-specific appointments and meetings; receiving onsite visitors; and answering and fielding any calls.

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator.
• Residential construction background, preferably high-end residential.
• Bachelor's degree, trade school training, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and mathematical skills.
• Enthusiastic team player with a bent towards collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Bluebeam, and Dropbox. Familiarity with Smartsheet, Procore, and Pro Contractor is encouraged.

This role offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, in the range of $120,000 to $140,000. It also provides an excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, and paid vacation and sick leave.
