Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Circulating Nurse for a nursing position.
Shift: 8 hours, days

Employment Type: Staff

In this role, under general supervision and in collaboration with the healthcare team, you will utilize your clinical judgment to assess and address human responses to both actual and potential health challenges.

The RN will be accountable for evaluating, planning, directing, and delivering nursing care to patients while coordinating nursing activities with other healthcare professionals.


Assessment Responsibilities:

Performance Standards:
Evaluate biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational needs, and discharge planning requirements.

Planning Responsibilities:

Performance Standards:
Formulate a personalized nursing care plan that is responsive to the patient's developmental needs. Coordinate care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community organizations. Develop a patient education plan and document it accordingly. Appropriately delegate care tasks based on the patient's condition and the scope of practice of other healthcare providers. Establish priorities for patient care.

Implementation Responsibilities:

Performance Standards:
Initiate appropriate interventions based on established protocols for managing medical and/or surgical patients. Deliver nursing care in accordance with the protocols for each patient. Execute the physician's care plan accurately and document care in the electronic medical record (EMR) as per policy and procedure.

Evaluation Responsibilities:

Performance Standards:
Assess the effectiveness of evaluation methods, care plans, and patient responses to treatment. Engage in unit quality assurance initiatives.

Minimum qualifications include one (1) year of experience in a circulating role within an inpatient or outpatient setting. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program.

Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

~ Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)

~ Proficient computer keyboarding skills.

~ Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

~ Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
