We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Residential Lending team as a Residential Lending Specialist. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives on engaging with both new and existing clients to deliver tailored lending solutions and related products that necessitate advanced sales techniques. This position offers the chance to collaborate with a highly successful and established residential lending department, equipped with advanced technology solutions to enhance the performance of our dynamic team of mortgage experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients or potential clients to promote the bank's offerings, ensuring their needs are met while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Build and sustain a network of real estate developers, agents, legal professionals, accountants, and other influential referral sources.
  • Market and cross-promote the bank's loan products and services using approved marketing materials.
  • Originate new mortgage and home equity loans, gathering all necessary information and documentation from clients.
  • Utilize multiple systems and applications to navigate products and recommend profitable solutions from both inbound and outbound sales leads.
  • Skillfully design lending products alongside complementary offerings and pricing that drive client sales.
  • Demonstrate consistent sales performance in terms of volume or units over time.
  • Stay updated on various loan options and confidently interview applicants to evaluate their loan needs.
  • Advise applicants on the most suitable options for their requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary disclosures are made to clients, including required loan fees and costs.
  • Provide clients with progress updates and assist in resolving any discrepancies.

Required Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator is essential.
  • Prior experience in banking is required.
  • At least an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience is necessary.
  • Proficiency in business mathematics and basic accounting is required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret findings, drawing logical conclusions in daily responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing procedures, regulations, job assignments, technological advancements, and new equipment.
  • A proven track record of being a positive team member in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid NMLS registration.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software programs is required.
