We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Residential Lending team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives on engaging with both new and existing clients to deliver tailored lending solutions and related products that necessitate advanced sales techniques. This role presents an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a well-established and successful residential lending department, equipped with advanced technological tools to enhance the performance of our motivated mortgage professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients or potential clients to promote the Bank's offerings, ensuring exceptional customer service while addressing their needs.
  • Build and sustain a network of real estate developers, agents, legal professionals, accountants, and other influential referral sources.
  • Market and cross-promote the Bank's loan products and services using approved marketing resources.
  • Originate new mortgage and home equity loans, gathering all necessary information and documentation from clients.
  • Utilize various systems and applications to navigate products and recommend profitable solutions from both inbound and outbound sales leads.
  • Skillfully design lending products in conjunction with companion products and pricing to achieve client sales.
  • Exhibit consistent sales performance in volume or units over time.
  • Stay informed about the various loan options available and conduct interviews with applicants to evaluate their loan needs.
  • Advise applicants on the most suitable options for their requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary disclosures are provided to clients, including loan fees and costs.
  • Deliver progress updates to clients and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in banking is essential.
  • At least an Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in business mathematics and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, drawing logical conclusions in daily operations. Must be adaptable to evolving procedures, regulations, and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid NMLS registration.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software applications.
