Step into the role of a Behavioral Intervention Specialist at May Institute within our Residential Program. In this position, you will utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to develop personalized treatment strategies, perform comprehensive evaluations, and lead a dedicated team of behavior technicians.

As a key player in our organization, you will provide essential training, oversight, and assessment for our outstanding staff. Your expertise in data collection and analysis will empower you to implement innovative approaches tailored to each client's specific requirements while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation by initiating the development of transformative programs and advocating for positive changes within our organization. This role includes one weekend shift per month and one evening shift per week, supporting our diverse population.

  • Leadership and Supervision: Oversee the execution of ABA services, demonstrating your leadership capabilities.
  • Customized Treatment Development: Create and monitor behavior support plans and individualized treatment strategies tailored to each child's distinct needs. Your creativity and meticulousness will be vital in ensuring effective interventions.
  • Effectiveness Analysis: Gather data and generate reports to evaluate the success of treatment plans and skill assessments. Your analytical abilities will be crucial in guiding decisions and enhancing outcomes.
  • Empowering Staff and Families: Collaborate with our committed staff, providing them with essential training and support. Engage with families, offering education and guidance to ensure that skills learned are effectively maintained and refined in the home setting.

Your Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related discipline. Current enrollment in a Master's of Applied Behavior Analysis program is also considered.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCBA-D) and ABA State License (LABA) are required. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst candidates will also be considered.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a talent for identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for children and their families.
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to foster team success.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of best practices in delivering ABA services for children with autism, including familiarity with relevant guidelines and regulations.
