We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Residential Lending team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives on building relationships with both new and existing clients, offering tailored lending solutions and associated products that require advanced sales techniques. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established and successful residential lending department that leverages advanced technology to enhance the performance of our mortgage professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients and potential clients to promote the Bank's offerings, ensuring their needs are met while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Establish and nurture a network of developers, real estate agents, attorneys, accountants, and other influential referral sources.
  • Market and cross-promote the Bank's loan products and services using approved marketing materials.
  • Originate new mortgage and home equity loans, gathering all necessary information and documentation from clients.
  • Utilize multiple software applications to navigate products and recommend profitable solutions from various sales leads.
  • Skillfully create lending products in conjunction with companion products and pricing to achieve client sales.
  • Demonstrate consistent sales performance in terms of volume or units over time.
  • Stay updated on various loan options and conduct interviews with applicants to assess their loan needs.
  • Advise applicants on the most suitable options for their financial requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary disclosures are made to clients, including loan fees and costs.
  • Provide clients with progress updates and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in banking is essential.
  • At least an Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in business mathematics and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret findings, drawing logical conclusions in daily responsibilities. Willingness to adapt to evolving procedures, regulations, and technological advancements.
  • Proven track record of being a positive team player in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid NMLS registration.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software applications.
