Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this role, candidates must effectively manage the following responsibilities:
• Oversee and regulate pipeline pressure levels to ensure compliance with established design criteria while assessing gas quality at various monitoring points.
• Collaborate with various gas control departments to implement scheduled gas changes efficiently.
• Act as the primary contact during emergency situations, which includes alerting emergency services and management.
• Coordinate with pipeline operations and plant teams to optimize pipeline throughput, particularly during equipment or pipeline outages.
• Assist field personnel with troubleshooting tasks related to communications, SCADA systems, control valves, and other gas control equipment.
• Prepare and submit daily throughput reports to management.
• Maintain and update emergency notification and operational call-out lists.
• Analyze operational challenges within gas control and provide actionable recommendations.
• Be prepared for occasional travel and overtime as required.
• Exhibit strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
Software Proficiency:
• Familiarity with personal computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and other relevant software for flow and pressure simulation, velocity, pressure drop, and control systems.
Job Requirements:
• This position involves a 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience Levels:
- Level C: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in midstream operations or equivalent.
- Level B: 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in midstream operations or equivalent.
- Level A: 4+ years of relevant experience in midstream operations or equivalent.
The characteristics of the work environment include:
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Varying hours of sitting, standing, and walking depending on workload.
