Job Summary
Celestica is seeking a highly skilled FAA Production Technical Operator 5 to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing complex tasks such as assembly, testing, and repair of aircraft components in support of FAA Repair Station.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive to non-repetitive assembly and testing, disassembly, analysis, repair and rework, reassembly and test of aircraft components in support of FAA Repair Station.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and rework aircraft components in accordance with established procedures, and provide recommendations on steps needed to return to service in accordance with FAA and other regulations.
- Perform manual assembly / disassembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
- Set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
- Recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and address those problems.
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
Requirements
- Four to five years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
Working Conditions
- Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye co-ordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
- Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects over.
- Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
