Senior Tax Consultant Position at Jones & Company LLC

Overview
Jones & Company LLC, a reputable accounting firm, is on the lookout for a meticulous Senior Tax Consultant to enhance their professional team. This role provides a pathway for advancement and leadership opportunities within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of tax returns
  • Strategic tax planning and forecasting
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Support in the development of staff
  • Foster community relationships

Employment Type: Full-Time (with occasional Saturday mornings during peak tax season; part-time options available)

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting or taxation
  • Active CPA license or EA certification, or in the process of obtaining
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes
  • Proficient in various software applications – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Thompson Reuters Ultra Tax, Accounting CS, Practice CS, Quickbooks, Doc-It
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor, organized, and composed
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Reliable, eager to learn, personable, and a collaborative team member
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree
Career Level: Experienced
