Position Overview

CHADS Coalition for Mental Health is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on enhancing awareness and prevention strategies for depression and suicide among youth.

Open Position: Youth Suicide Prevention Program Presenter

We are looking for individuals with a dynamic personality and strong technical skills for a part-time opportunity. Candidates must complete the full application process, including assessments, to be considered.

The Youth Suicide Prevention Program Presenter role is a part-time engagement lasting 9 months. Key responsibilities include training students, educators, parents, and community members on evidence-based suicide prevention initiatives within the St. Louis Metro Area.

  • Conduct in-person training sessions at middle and high schools
  • Oversee program documentation and maintain electronic records
  • Ensure training sessions adhere to established quality standards
  • Provide education on mental health, depression, and suicide prevention
  • Foster positive relationships with school stakeholders
  • Advocate for the program and related services within school communities
  • Participate in agency and program staff meetings
  • Support community suicide awareness initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, mental health, or a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience in educational or mental health settings preferred
  • Charismatic personality with strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of suicide prevention, anxiety, and depression
  • Proficient in various computer applications
  • Availability to conduct training sessions during school hours

The Youth Suicide Prevention Program Presenter position offers compensation ranging from $21.00 to $26.00 per hour and operates during the academic year, with potential evening hours. This role reports to the Program Manager.
