We provide specialized and individualized services in four key areas: Prevention/Intervention, Positive Youth Development, Out-of-Home Placement, and Reunification/Permanency.

Role Title: Lead Case Manager (Virginia)
Reporting Structure: Program Director
Role Summary
The Lead Case Manager is tasked with overseeing case management and ensuring safe and timely release services, training new case managers, and supervising the activities of other case managers.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Case Manager will be responsible for:
- Conducting all activities in alignment with the National Youth Advocate Program's Mission, Values, and Philosophies.
- Providing daily supervision, mentoring, case consultation, and support to program staff.
- Coordinating safe and timely release services in collaboration with NYAP teams and designated staff or contractors.
- Traveling as necessary to deliver and support services for youth and families, adhering to organizational, contractual, and regulatory standards.
- Completing all required training and documentation promptly.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned foster parents.
- Assisting program staff in identifying and evaluating potential sponsors, gathering necessary information, and assessing suitability.
- Guiding program staff in safety assessments, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services to ensure the safety and stability of children served.
- Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement activities on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Actively engaging in the regular supervision process.
- Doctorate or Master's in Social Work with three years of experience in casework services for children and families.
- Doctorate or Master's in a related field with at least four years of experience in casework services for children and families within a child placing agency.
- Bachelor's degree in any field with five years of experience in casework services for children and families.
- Direct supervision of case managers, limited to eight at a time.
- A demonstrated commitment to service and advocacy for youth and families.
- A valid professional license as required by state or contract regulations.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Proficient in using desktop and laptop computers, internet searches, people management software, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours to support foster caregivers, families of origin, and individuals served.
- Ability to be adaptable and responsive to the needs of youth, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Capacity to maintain objectivity and professionalism in all job functions.
- Demonstrates respect and tolerance for diverse ideas and actions.
- A genuine desire and ability to advocate for children facing behavioral health, immigration, educational, legal, developmental, and socio-economic challenges.
