Residential Technical Training Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for residential HVAC installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create curriculum and training materials, including PowerPoint presentations, videos, and manuals.
  • Prepare training facilities and labs for classes, ensuring high standards of equipment and tools.
  • Provide training support, including communication, promotion, and coordination of product and technical training.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, product marketing, service, and training teams.
  • Assist at educational or industry conferences, presenting technical information to audiences.
  • Audit technical trainers and experienced independent trainers to ensure high-quality training delivery.

Requirements:

  • HVAC degree or certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance, with 5+ years of experience in facilitating product and technical training.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Experience training in the technical service field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HVAC products and controls.
  • Proven track record of success in service and customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to interact with students of varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, students, and customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and develop course curriculum.
  • Customer focus - proactively finds ways to exceed customer needs; detail-oriented, well-organized.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment and take initiative individually.
