As a vital member of the Correctional Training Facility, the Lead Correctional Culinary Supervisor (LCCS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and delivery of food services within the institution. Under the guidance of the Supervising Correctional Cook, the LCCS is tasked with overseeing the distribution and accountability of food and related supplies, while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the organization and setup of food items and transport carts for efficient delivery to various facility locations.
- Ensure that all food deliveries align with the established menu requirements.
- Supervise and train inmate staff on proper sanitation practices and equipment handling.
- Maintain oversight of tools and equipment used in food preparation and service.
- Enforce discipline and maintain order among inmates in the kitchen area.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
