Job Title: Staff Psychiatrist - Correctional and Rehab Services

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to join our team in Correctional and Rehab Services. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to inmates in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of inmates
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address mental health needs
  • Provide medication management and therapy services to inmates
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in case reviews and treatment planning to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychiatry or related field
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in California
  • Experience working in a correctional setting or with similar populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
