Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team at our Outpatient Center in Madison. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, handling instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and families to ensure a positive and safe experience.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely completion of procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) certification.
