Position: Physical Therapist/Site Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities: University Orthopedics is in search of a Physical Therapist Site Coordinator for its operations. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Physical Therapist license and will manage a clinical caseload. Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments to identify impairments in body structure and function, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. The candidate will establish diagnoses, prognoses, and create tailored care plans. They will implement treatment strategies and conduct ongoing evaluations throughout the care process. Additionally, this role includes Site Coordinator responsibilities, overseeing daily clinic operations and supervising physical therapy department staff.

Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist:

  • Assess patients of diverse age groups with musculoskeletal issues.
  • Design and implement suitable treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • Complete necessary documentation to comply with federal and insurance regulations.
  • Provide accurate billing information for services rendered.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and time management abilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Site Coordinator:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, helping them set performance objectives.
  • Support performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain the clinic's physical environment, including offices and equipment.
  • Provide data for financial and statistical reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of medical support systems and procedures.
  • Monitor patient appointments, flow, medical records, and staff performance.
  • Oversee billing, credit, and collection processes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and quality standards in patient care.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Participate in required meetings and committees as needed.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated on healthcare trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist.
  • Preferred experience in outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities and ability to promote teamwork and professionalism.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Proficient in EHR, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
  • Efficient in managing a busy office environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to develop practice in a new setting.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
