Nurse Resident, Medical Unit

The ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program is a 12-month program designed to support new nurses in their transition to practice. The program integrates educational components with preceptor-led clinical experiences on various units, including medical, surgical, and step-down units. Upon completion, nurses will have built a strong foundation for nursing practice in multiple fast-paced environments.
Requirements for the program include graduating from an accredited nursing school, being licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware, and having less than 12 months of nursing experience. The program also requires a two-year employment agreement with a minimum of 15 months on the unit of hire.
