Position Overview:

The Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing and negotiating significant organizational contracts and acquisitions. This role requires a deep understanding of consulting practices and technical expertise, as well as comprehensive industry knowledge. Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in procurement within the defense contracting sector.
  • Proficient in assessing requirements for hardware and software acquisitions in alignment with DoD government Prime Contracts, including familiarity with FAR and DFARS stipulations, unique requirements, and performance work statements.
  • Experience in creating CPSR-compliant procurement documentation for contracts exceeding $250,000, incorporating small business subcontracting plans, cost accounting standards, and Truth in Negotiation Act considerations.
  • Skilled in evaluating and negotiating contract terms to identify and mitigate risks based on the type of purchase order, commodity, and expected award value.
  • Knowledgeable in reviewing software licensing agreements to ensure compliance with federal regulations, including GSAM or GSAR.
  • Experienced in analyzing statements of work or bills of materials for thoroughness.
  • Competent in assessing source justifications to confirm adherence to procurement award types.
  • Capable of educating stakeholders on contract stipulations and procurement procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
