We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Superintendent to lead our 2nd shift operations at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to our production team to ensure seamless execution of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer demands and achieve business objectives.
- Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors to ensure high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA and USDA standards.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, engineering, or operations management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of success in improving productivity, quality, and safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting customer demands and achieving business objectives.
