We're seeking a dynamic technology leader to join our team as the Program Principal for Site Reliability Engineering. This strategic role will be pivotal in leading and executing large-scale Site Reliability Engineering customer engagements, ensuring the stability and performance of modern cloud and legacy systems and applications by implementing best practices in reliability engineering and driving automation to enhance operational efficiency.
This role will lead the development, sales, solution, and delivery of the Site Reliability Engineering program offering for TEKsystems Global Services Enterprise customers. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring delivery excellence and providing thought leadership to our customer's executive and technical leadership.
Responsibilities:- Capability Development: Lead the development of Site Reliability engineering offerings for customers' cloud-native and cloud-agnostic needs focused on operational efficiency, observability, stability, and resiliency of enterprise IT systems.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage in-depth expertise in SRE strategy design and technologies and platforms, stay updated on the latest advancements in tools and services available in the market, and guide the team in applying best practices to build an offering that can be delivered to customers at scale.
- Team Training and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest site reliability engineering-specific skills and knowledge.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Drive innovation and the adoption of best practices, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of industry standards.
- Strategic Delivery: Engage directly with TEKsystems customers to understand their technical challenges and provide expert guidance and architectural pathways to achieve Site Reliability Engineering goals.
- Project Planning and Execution: Plan, execute, and successfully deliver SRE projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential technical risks and challenges associated with architectural designs, and implement SRE strategies to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees (Master's, Ph.D.) are preferred.
- Professional Experience: 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering or IT Operations, 5+ years of experience in Enterprise architecture, solution design, and technical leadership roles, and 3+ years in IT consulting and IT services organizations.
- Site Reliability Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in building and executing large-scale SRE initiatives, conversant in state-of-art observability trends, tools, products, and technologies, and experience in identifying wide gaps in the SRE practice and designing implementable solutions that contribute to the transformation of the organization.
- Cloud Technologies: Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and hands-on experience with cloud-based data services, storage, and analytics solutions.
- Database Technologies: Proficiency in database design, optimization, and management, and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Data Architecture: Strong knowledge of data architecture principles and practices with respect to observability, alert management, and security, and experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data models for SRE data originating from various sources.
- SRE Governance and Reporting: Experience in establishing and implementing SRE governance frameworks, and familiarity with building executive SRE reports showcasing ROI and key Enterprise metrics.
- Leadership Skills: Previous leadership experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, and ability to inspire and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
