Job Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading provider of fleet maintenance services, is seeking an experienced Vendor Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding qualified vendors to meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Identification: Identify qualified vendors to meet customer needs, including current and future segments of business.
  • Vendor Selection and Management: Assist in vendor selection, due diligence oversight, and maintenance of vendor relationships.
  • Contract Negotiation: Make initial contact with proposed vendors to begin contract discussions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Vendor Qualification: Lead vendor qualification and vendor selection in support of Amerit Fleet Solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on the requirements to become a vendor for Amerit Fleet Solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Initiate, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and the Amerit customers they support.
  • Contract Management: Develop policies, contractual guidelines, and performance measures that are consistent with Amerit Fleet Solutions and client standards.
  • Vendor Compliance: Ensure that vendors are in compliance, and all dated documents are not expired.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Maintain and update all vendor account numbers in database, and ensure vendors are in compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration, or related field, or 5+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in the vendor field.
  • Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, willingness to take initiative/self-starter, ability to exercise independent judgment, and exemplary interpersonal skills.
