Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Deer Park Independent School District. As a Maintenance Assistant - Athletic Grounds, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our athletic grounds, including fields, courts, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and inspections of athletic facilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of athletic events, including field maintenance and equipment setup
- Operate and maintain equipment, including lawn mowers, tractors, and other machinery
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working approximately 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
