Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled PCB Design Engineer to enhance our expanding R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design printed circuit boards for innovative products, including engine controllers, fuel system devices, lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS), chargers, and IoT telematics systems.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure the production of flawless PCB designs within established project timelines.
  • Generate Gerber data along with all requisite fabrication files.
  • Create PCB footprints based on manufacturer datasheets and maintain an updated component library.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal design and manufacturing teams to optimize material usage and manufacturing costs.
  • Work alongside Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to enhance packaging, thermal, and electrical performance.
  • Independently interpret and apply electrical standards such as IEC, CSA, and UL relevant to PCB design in all projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in PCB design.
  • Expertise in PCB layout techniques and best practices, including EMC, thermal management, and small signal integrity.
  • High proficiency with the Altium tool suite.
  • Experience in interpreting electrical schematics to develop optimal PCB layouts.
  • Proven experience with multi-layer PCB designs, specifically 10 layers or more.

Familiarity with design standards such as UL, CSA, and IEC is essential.
