Darkhive is a startup that aims to make robotics accessible to the public safety and defense community through small drones. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our disposable sUAS platforms.

The Role: As an Electrical Hardware Engineer at Darkhive, you will be responsible for designing and refining the technology inside our designs, working across a range of products to meet requirements and production needs. You will also be hands-on, conducting research, prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure our products are of quality while maintaining a competitive price point.Requirements:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical commercial hardware engineering and/or sustaining engineering
  • Experience with test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  • Experience debugging electromechanical systems
  • Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or other EDA tools
  • Experience generating Technical Data Packages for manufacturing
  • Experience with layouts for single board computers using system-on-modules
  • Experience with power supply circuitry, motor control, and digital circuit design
  • Experience with common interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, and USB
  • Support design changes or reviews to products
  • Create documentation such as ECOs and other process documentation
  • Experience testing of prototype hardware, EVT, DVT, etc.
  • Experience with design for DFM, DFA, DFMEA, etc.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Working with suppliers and vendors for both prototyping and production
  • Prior experience with gimbal systems, UAVs/Aerospace, or robotics
  • Consumer electronics experience, such as IoT camera security systems or cell phones with CCMs
