Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Aimbridge Hospitality. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping functions and ensuring that our guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect guest rooms and ensure they are cleaned and maintained to our high standards.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting our standards.
  • Assume all housekeeping manager functions in the absence of the manager.
  • Monitor and maintain key control systems.
  • Supervise laundry and housekeeping staff and hold them accountable for their work performance.
  • Submit documentation regarding poor work performance, misconduct, absenteeism, and lateness.
  • Handle lost and found items according to our standards.
  • Be familiar with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules.
  • Ensure that associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and other associates.
  • Ensure the overall appearance, cleanliness, and orderliness of staff.
  • Carry an active pager/radio to maintain contact with the front office and/or engineering throughout the shift period.
  • Oversee the daily assignment of duties and ensure each housekeeping staff member has a work assignment.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and orderliness of housekeeping carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
  • Report on the progress of all out-of-order rooms under the housekeeping department's supervision to the guest services manager daily.
  • Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance for doors, plumbing, heating/air, electrical equipment, furniture, carpets, drapes, etc. and follow through on each work order until completed.
  • Oversee proper and constructive training of housekeeping staff.
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel staff as necessary.
  • Collect all keys and assignment sheets daily at the end of the shift.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Ensure completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects on a biannual basis.
  • Monitor all VIPs, special guests, and requests.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
