About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Care team at Lakefield Veterinary Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to veterinarians during emergency and critical care procedures
  • Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and place IV catheters as needed
  • Assist with patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative care
  • Conduct radiographs and other diagnostic tests as required
  • Advocate for patients and clients, addressing their concerns and providing empathetic support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow
Requirements
  • Credentialed veterinary technician with strong technical skills and experience in emergency and critical care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a focus on patient safety and well-being
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements
