Job Overview

The Lead for Space Management Operations will oversee the daily functions related to the support of both large and small-scale interior design projects for onsite personnel. This role involves managing the design of cubicle furniture and private office spaces during relocations. Additionally, you will assist in selecting standard and custom furniture items such as chairs, bookcases, file cabinets, and tables, while establishing furniture configuration standards and monitoring distribution throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish furniture standards for the planning, configuration, and management of cubicle areas, personal offices, breakrooms, and conference spaces.
  • Facilitate intercompany relocations by creating or following CAD drawings of existing and new layouts, along with standard supplies needed for interior moves using CAD software or compatible programs.
  • Engage with local vendors to obtain quotes for personnel relocations and necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with the Workplace Solutions team to finalize approvals for monitoring space usage, cubicle and desk layouts, reconfigurations, and furniture requests.
  • Conduct meetings with various team sizes to discuss space and design requirements, providing updates to facility management teams as necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing working hours based on priority projects occurring onsite.
  • Act as the point of contact when vendors or contractors are present for projects you are involved in.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly Space Management report to the client.
  • Occasionally perform tasks typically assigned to the Coordinator.
  • Delegate work assignments to team members to ensure project completion.
  • Analyze and benchmark scalable metrics across the portfolio.
  • Assist in creating presentations for high-visibility projects for diverse audiences, including block/stacking plans, workplace standards, agile work environments, and complex project phasing.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and insights related to workplace strategy, design, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning, Design, or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of facilities management experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design consultancy services, corporate interiors, or workplace operations.
  • Preferred knowledge of the technology sector.
  • Expertise in space planning, user research, facilitation, design strategy, and space programming.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong flexibility and capability to communicate, collaborate, problem-solve, and multitask independently.
  • Adaptability to change as required.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2021.
  • Experience with computer-aided facility management systems such as Zesati or Trac is preferred.
