Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Therapy Support Specialist to join our team at Select Medical. As a Therapy Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our therapy team in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with transfers, lifts, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Prepare patients for therapy sessions by setting up equipment and positioning them in a comfortable and safe manner.
  • Transport patients to and from therapy sessions as needed.
  • Assist therapists with patient-related activities, such as equipment setup and patient positioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare the department each morning and pick up equipment during treatment hours and at the end of the day.
  • Follow hospital infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist with identifying support staff needs for patient care and coordinating with the rehab and nursing floors.
  • Participate in therapeutic dysphagia and feeding programs as requested and supervised by therapists.
Qualifications
  • Must be a current student accepted in an OT, SLP, or PT program.
