Job Title: Project Engineer 2

360 Rail Services is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer 2 to lead the design and execution of railroad and transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the rail industry or transportation infrastructure, with strong leadership and technical skills to oversee project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of railroad and transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform engineering calculations and develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for assigned projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, construction teams, and clients, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct site assessments and provide technical engineering support to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including reports, designs, and specifications.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and relevant codes, including local and state regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Louisiana is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in rail or transportation infrastructure project design and management.
  • Strong knowledge of railroad engineering principles, transportation systems, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD and engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Experience with construction oversight and site assessments is a plus.
