Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing medical support to the Utah Warriors professional rugby team, as well as other contracts. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing medical care to athletes and promoting the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical coverage to the Utah Warriors rugby team, including on-field and in-training room support
  • Assist with medical care for injured athletes, including assessments, treatments, and referrals
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for athletes, ensuring a safe and effective return to play
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, school administrators, parents, athletes, and other sports medicine team members
  • Maintain accurate records of all evaluations, referrals, and treatments administered to patients or athletes
  • Participate in marketing strategies for the Intermountain Sports Medicine programs
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including athletic directors, school administrators, coaches, and parents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Current athletic trainer license in state of practice
  • National athletic trainer certification (NATA-BOC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel and be flexible to coach's needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as an Athletic Trainer at a college, university, or with a professional team
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Two years of experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
Physical Requirements
  • Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking
