We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health

Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography. The incumbent is responsible for preparing patients for exams, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining accurate records of patient information.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and instructing patients on procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and computed tomography scanners
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and exam results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography
  • 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Basic computer skills, with ability to learn and use electronic medical records and other healthcare software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computed tomography and other advanced imaging modalities
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection principles
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Basic life support certification, with ability to learn and use other healthcare certifications as needed
Work Environment

The Radiologic Technologist II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazards. The incumbent will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including lead aprons and gloves, and will be expected to follow strict safety protocols to minimize exposure to radiation.

Pay Range: $50.03 - $62.19 per hour
