Job SummaryAs an MRI Technologist II, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. You will work under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, utilizing your expertise and judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing coils close to areas of interest.
- Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide high-quality diagnostic services.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
- Minimum two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support.
- ARRT certification.
