Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team in the Emergency Department ED at Saint Mary's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to emergent and critical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in didactic learning sessions to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department ED nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
  • Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Emergency Room ER or Acute InPatient nursing.
  • Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • ACLS and TNCC : Required within three months of hire.
Benefits

Full-Time: 36 hours per week, Evening Shift. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Explore eligibility and details regarding the available sign-on bonus. Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation.
