Emergency Room Nurse

At Trinity Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at Saint Mary's Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients in need.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering compassionate care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to emergent and critical patients, utilizing critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity patients effectively.
- Participate in didactic learning sessions to enhance understanding of Emergency Department nursing, with a focus on utilizing state-of-the-art simulation labs.
- Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute Inpatient setting is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Emergency Room ER or Acute Inpatient nursing.
- BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- ACLS and TNCC: Required within three months of hire.

- Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation.
