Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate and Construction division. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations related to our real estate and construction projects, including the management of capital projects, accounts receivable, and general ledger. You will also prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts for our real estate and construction divisions.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all financial transactions and records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other accounting software to maintain financial data and generate reports.
  • Participate in financial audits, providing necessary information and addressing any issues or discrepancies identified.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts receivable, and capital projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
