Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey Group in Ashburn, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects and client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the successful management of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Client Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit proposals to clients, negotiating scopes and fees as needed.
  • Technical Quality: Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of technical quality, adhering to industry best practices and company policies.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with project staff, including survey technicians and field crews, to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Communications: Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • CAD Software: Proficient in using Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent CAD software.
  • Survey Data Reduction Software: Experienced in using Leica, Trimble, or equivalent survey data reduction software.
  • Machine Control Models: Skilled in creating machine control models.
  • GPS/RTK Technology: Familiar with using GPS/RTK technology.
  • Laser Scanning Technology: Preference given to those with experience using laser scanning technology.
  • Project Accounting: Thorough understanding of project accounting and ability to manage schedules and budgets.
  • Client Development and Supervision: Experience in client development and supervision of technical work.
  • Technical and Office Support Software: Working knowledge of technical and office support software required for the position.
