Job Summary

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Capital Project Cost Control, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating capital estimates, ensuring cost control and accuracy, and providing coaching and guidance on project-related financial topics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cost control efforts for projects between $1M and $10M, ensuring timely and accurate cost reviews and face-sheet workbooks.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine the need for cost control professionals and provide training as needed.
  • Review estimates for budgeting and funding requests, issuing validation letters and highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Attend ERA and Gate reviews, communicating validation findings and covering estimate slides.
  • Extract data from EcoSys to monitor project health and make informed decisions on Cost vs Capital determinations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, or a relevant field (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Proficiency in Excel and preferred knowledge of SAP and EcoSys.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Capital Project Engineering or Management, cost control, project scheduling, or project estimating.
Training and Certifications
  • Preferred AACEi training in Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), or Certified Scheduling Technician (CST).
