Control Systems Engineer - Incineration Specialist

Heritage Environmental Services is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer - Incineration Specialist to manage, coordinate, and develop all aspects of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and Distributive Control Systems to ensure the facility is operating in a manner safe to human health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Maintain process-related systems.
  • Modify software and hardware to improve process capabilities.
  • Maintain communication between DCS/PLC/TCPIP base systems.
  • Perform data analysis to better understand process capabilities.
  • Train operations and maintenance personnel on computer systems.
  • Setting up, installing, and maintaining PCs and software.
  • On-call during off-work hours.
  • Coordinates project activities with government regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience with PC operating systems, PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA programming applications.
  • Three (3) years' experience in Visual Basic, Database programming, PC/Server networking, instrumentation, and industrial control system design.
  • Experience with ABB Bailey Infi 90, Allen Bradley PLC, RCRA, and MACT regulations.
  • TCP/IP networking and NT experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to both lead and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time to assist at other Heritage locations.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
